Cake Smash Sessions 

Why You Need One

Our babies learn at exceptional speed. They go from sleeping 20 hours a day to rolling over and sitting and all of a sudden you blink and they're one and on their way to walking. You closed your eyes and they became a toddler overnight bopping around the house exploring. The time never slows. While the days and nights can seem long the years are fast. It's hard to think about it when you're in it, but you only get 18 summers with that little one before they're gone.  As a mom of a young adult I can tell you, it goes too fast, and having these memories to look back on helps me to relive them all over again. So, is it a must, yup it sure is!

How To Plan

Cake smash sessions can be as fun as cows and surf boards to as mellow as solid colors and clean lines. There is no hard rule for planning your babies cake smash session.  You can plan the session based on the decor of your home so that the wall art matches, or you can plan it based on your babies party theme! I will walk you through this step and gather all the props to make it a perfect session you both will enjoy.

Where To Go

Here at Lemonade Photos we have the perfect setup to go from smashing cake to clean and in the car seat with no fuss no mess! In the studio we always have perfect weather conditions and there is never a need to reschedule, that is always a plus. 

All cake smash sessions here at my studio in Onalaska Wisconsin come with a styling consultation so you get the exact look you want. I purchase and have ready for your session the backdrop of your choosing, 2 outfits for your little one to match the concept, and of course a custom cake smash just for them from a local bakery! Yup you read that right, your session fee covers it all, all you have to do is show up with your baby!

Finally, and the best part, after the session is done we are able to put baby right in the sink in my studio where I keep all natural baby soap and a fresh towel for you to get them nice and clean and sticky free before putting them back in their car seat.

What Product To Buy

Cake Smash sessions memorialize not just your babies first birthday and this absolutely adorable moment of them covered in cake, but it also captures the last few pictures as your baby travels from baby to toddler.  Making sure you have these images off a computer and printed means they will be around for decades to come for you to look back at an enjoy. I recommend:

1. A small wall art cluster of your absolute favorites (usually family photos won't happen for another year and this is the perfect opportunity to get amazing photos on your wall).

2. An album is an absolute must, no questions asked. An album contains all your favorite images in one place securely bound in a beautiful format. As the years progress and you do family photos and eventually senior photos and on down the line having these albums lined up on your shelf to go through and remember the moments by is absolutely priceless.

3. Finally gift prints. Grandma and Grandpa and all the Aunties want these photos, don't leave them out! Thank them for adding to your little ones life with a beautiful mounted gift print!
